Jennifer and I loaded up the paints and easel in the van, and took off early one October morning driving down the Buffalo River from park to Park looking for the ideal spot to plein air paint. We had intended to find that perfect spot to paint, and camp overnight. I spent the whole day dragging her around looking for that picturesque spot with perfect fall color. After spending the day driving around the river thinking about how pretty “our” part of the Buffalo was (the upper Buffalo), we returned home in the evening, tired and defeated. The next day I woke up, and walked out on the front porch, and painted this in the front yard.
