FRIDAY JULY 6th
I got up early (The gas is working again so I got to make real coffee), and did a good walk around the huge campground (hundreds of sites) and checked out Lake Powell. Beautiful!
This campground is mostly for boaters, and I wouldn’t stay here unless it was for that reason, but the lake is great. When the girls woke up we took a short bike ride, and then went for a swim. Water was surprisingly cool for this huge lake in the middle of the desert.
We drove through Page which was nothing.. We had considered the tour of Antelope Canyon of which I have seen some remarkable photography, but after learning it would cost us $120.00 for an hour long hike and reading several negative reviews (and since we DID just see some slot canyons yesterday) we instead called The North Rim of the Grand Canyon and reserved a mule ride for Saturday Morning.
